Open seminar presenting the results of a 2-week interdisciplinary workshop about designing with communities for social innovation. Students from 3 local institutions (KHiB, BAS, HiB) have been exploring universal, inclusive and participatory design methods - engaging local communities along the Bybanen in search of co-designing new tactics to inform future urban development.

Ilka Raupach and Michael Zwingmann are freelance sculptors and assistant professors in the Department of Architecture, Institute of Architecture-based Art at the Carolo-Wilhelmina University in Braunschweig, Germany.
Their work focuses on the prodigiousness and ambiguities of nature. Their main concern is to inquire into the functioning of human perception and experience of space.They work with materials stone, metal, clay, ice and snow, for their interventions in the landscape and architectural and public space. The lecture will introduce the Institute of Architecture-based Art, the personal approach to art of Ilka Raupach and Michael Zwingmann and the snowforming festival in Vinje.
