During an Erasmus conference before Christmas, statistics for number of students that go on exchange or work as interns was presented. The statistics compared the figures from all institutions of higher education in Norway. BAS scores amazingly well when they present the statistics according to the size of the school. Read more!
The Christmas edition of Arkitektur N 8/2012 : Professor of Architecture specializing in sustainability Harald N. Røstvik at BAS and his four page analysis of the sustainability content in international architectural competitions having taken place in Norway over the last ten years is now printed. The conclusion is clear . It shows that the juicy sustainability rhetoric in the program text is not followed up by the juries during judging. The reason seems to be that juries have mainly been composed from architectural all-rounders with lack of sustainability competence.
Participants from multiple disciplines, (art, architecture, science, etc) interested in taking part in a multidisciplinary festival art project in Bergen during the first half of 2013 are encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is Dec 17. Having command of the Norwegian language is not a requirement for participation.
The Rake Visningsrom in Elgsetergate 28, Trondheim, is one of the nominated projects in this prestigious European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture. 5 students from BAS participated in this joint project together with students from NTNU and AHO, as part of the student workshop Trestykker 2011. RAKE visningsrom is an independent exhibition space focusing on art and architecture. Read more.
Trafo er et nettsamfunn for unge mellom 16 og 22 år med en spesiell interesse for kreative og kunstneriske uttrykk. Flere ganger i året arrangerer Trafo workshops i samarbeid med festivaler, kulturinstitusjoner eller profesjonelle kunstnere.
