BAS in Puglia: Engaging in International Discourse on Care, Space, and Ecology
In late March, the master’s course Mater Studio: Spatial Practices of Care from the Bergen School of Architecture (BAS) will travel to Puglia, Italy, as part of an ongoing exploration of spatial practices and situated knowledge.
During the study trip, the course will participate in a public event, Reading Together: Gender and Space, where students will present observations, materials, and questions developed through their engagement with local territories and communities. The work focuses on collective practices, approached through the lens of care and ecology.
Through this contribution, BAS takes part in a broader international discourse on architecture’s role in shaping socially and ecologically responsive practices.
