BAS-project winner in the Universities Award Competition, Architectural Triennale Lisbon 2022
On Friday, 30 October, at the Lisbon Academy of Science, a team from BAS won one of the 4 first prizes in the Universities Award Competition, Architectural Triennale Lisbon 2022. The winning project “Coastal Interference”, from the course Explorations in Ocean Space- Choreography for Norskehavet” (autumn 2021), submitted by Nancy Couling, co-teachers Vibeke Jensen & Marianna Anichini, and students Atso Airola, Helene Eide, Jonas Høiness, Kripa Jain, Sofia Korte, Changkun Ma, Sonya Markova, Luna Scéau, and Sashant Tiwari, is part of the “Multiplicity” exhibition, at the MNAC- The National Museum of Contemporary Art Lisbon.
The jury made a special mention to BAS for its innovative programme as one of the two universities from which two projects reached the final seven. The second project “Deep Sea Architecture”, also from Explorations in Ocean Space autumn 2021, students is part of the “Visionaries” exhibition at Culturgest, Lisbon. The authors are Sara Boukili, Katarina Kierulf, Øystein Larssen, Bastian Haukefær, and Maria Thoner.
