The 2026 diploma examinations at Bergen School of Architecture (BAS) have now concluded, marking an important milestone for this year’s graduating students. Following several days of presentations, discussions, and assessment, 23 candidates have successfully completed their final diploma examinations and are graduating with a Master of Architecture degree.

The examination took place from 26. – 30. June, with two parallel teams of external assessors ensuring a thorough and independent evaluation of the students’ work.

Red team: Jesper Magnusson (architect Sweden), Hanna Dencik Petersson (architect Norway), Christine Hansen (artist Norway)

Blue team: Dagmar Pelgar (architect Germany), Bjørn Otto Braathen (architect Norway), Brian Griffiths (artist UK)

We extend our sincere thanks to all the assessors for their dedication and thoughtful contributions throughout the process.

The graduates will receive their diplomas during the official opening of the academic year 2026/27 on 15. August. On this occasion, BAS will also present the annual diploma exhibition, offering the public an opportunity to experience the graduates’ work and gain insight into the ideas and investigations that have shaped their final projects. The exhibition will be open from 15. – 23. August. Details will be published beginning of August.

We warmly congratulate all 23 graduates on this significant achievement and wish them every success in their future careers as architects. Their work contributes to the ongoing development of architecture and to the important role the discipline plays in shaping society.
