Jacob Schroll has a master’s degree in architecture at Bergen School of Architecture. Prior to this, he was trained as a boat builder and has worked as a restoration carpenter at Bryggen in Bergen.
After graduating, he has been involved in the start-up of Gamle3Hus and Utmark Architecture. As leader of the group of architects, he has, through large and small projects, built up a broad competence in design and project management.

In parallel with working as a performing architect, he has regularly since 2012 had assignments as a teacher at the schools of architecture in Bergen and Oslo, especially with a focus on construction, material knowledge and vernacular architecture.

In parallel with his job, he has for several years worked with urban development and sat on a resource group in the «Trade Union».
