Hike to serenity is a project that aims to connect the small island of Sørhaugøy on the north tip of the Vibrandsøy island-cluster with the rest of the Islands to the south. Sørhaugøy is an island with a 19th century lighthouse separated from the rest of the remaining cluster through a narrow strait. while the southern part of the cluster has a number of culture-historical buildings. The idea is to create a new hiking track connecting the two islands and create a new recreational area for the public. By studying different ways of crossing challenging areas of Vibrandsøy and by placing different inlays in the landscape, this is an attempt to make the whole of Vibrandsøy open for the public as a new recreational oasis close to the city centre of Haugesund.
